Barossa Backpackers offers backpackers, flashpackers, and seasonal workers the chance to experience the vineyards, wineries and, wine of the beautiful Barossa Valley.

With a maximum capacity of 76 people Barossa Backpackers is ideal for those looking for a close knit community in which to live, work, and play. You can stay for a night, a week, or a month. However, with the Valleys fine wine and food, you may find it difficult to leave, and why would you? Great people, fine wine, why rush away?

Located behind one of Australia’s oldest wineries, Chateau Tanunda, Barossa Backpackers is a great place to relax amongst the vineyards!

They may even be able to help you find work! The Barossa Valley looks for grape pickers from February to August. During the Autumn months, pruning work is available. These are great opportunities for backpackers as positions are hired on a very short-term basis. You will meet some great people and expand your knowledge of wine. Barossa Backpackers has many contacts with the 30 wineries in a 5km radius and they are always looking for workers - positions on a first come basis.
