One of the world largest islands, it is no wonder that the bulk of Australia's wildlife comes from the sea. What better way is there to dive into the Australian oceans, than visiting one of the countries fantastic aquariums? You can meet these Australia's wonderful aquatic creatures without ever having to get your feet wet, does it get any better than that?

 

Australian Capital Territory

National Zoo & Aquarium, Weston Creek

Get up close and enjoy our reef sharks, held in the largest inland salt water tank in Australia - holding 200,000 litres. You can also hand feed sharks and other amazing animals, in the Walk on the Wild Side Tour.

Marvel at some of the most brilliantly coloured animals in existence; one of the 7 Wonders of the World, replicated for your viewing in Australia’s largest inland aquarium.

See animals from freshwater rivers and lakes, with strange, and fascinating evolutionary adaptations. This is where the Zoos frogs, lizards, snakes and our alligators live.
