Cycling

Cycling has numerous benefits including exercise, no air pollution, reducing traffic congestion, minimizing noise pollution (nearly silent operation) and no cost parking and ability to travel on roads or special paths. With so many city and country tracks to explore, it’s no surprise Australia is a popular cycling destination. 

So why wouldn't you want to get out and about using a bike.  The options for travellers are numerous, you can borrow, hire or buy a bike.  Bike hire is available in many major towns or cities.

Canberra is an excellent city to see by bike, well-planned with 100's of kilometers of cycleways and relatively flat.

The Great Ocean Road in Victoria is popular for long-distance cycles.
