Hot Air Ballooning

14 January 2010

Hot air ballooning

Ballooning is an activity best done in the early morning, so prepare for a very early start.  However, it is well worth the wake up.  Attractive aspects of ballooning include the exceptional quiet (except when the propane burners are firing), the lack of a feeling of movement, and the bird's-eye view. Since the balloon moves with the wind, the passengers feel absolutely no wind, except for brief periods during the flight when the balloon climbs or descends into air currents of different direction or speed.

Hot air ballooning is the perfect way to experience aerial views of the country without diving out of a plane.

Many places across Australia offer casual flights.

The nearest is Just 45 minutes south west of Sydney's city centre, an idyllic adventure, fly over the beautiful Camden Valley, where commercial ballooning first began in Australia.  Return to our Homepage and look out for our HOT DEALS section for more details. Or book here.

Other top spots to Balloon in Australia are Canberra (ACT), the Great Ocean Road and the Yarra Valley (Vic), Atherton Tablelands and Cairns (QLD).

Hot air ballooning is always dependent on optimum weather conditions so be sure to check local reports before you go.
