Best known as the Whale Watching Capital, Hervey Bay is a great destination! Located close to the World Heritage listed Fraser Island, Hervey Bay is home to a number of seaside villages, fantastic beaches and great water sports.

Aside from their water related activities, the area also boasts, art galleries and theatres, many eateries, sport and recreational facilities, clubs, botanic gardens, historical townships, major annual events, picnic areas, whale watch cruises and a wide choice of accommodation

Visitors to Hervey Bay can enjoy a range of attractions. You can fish from the shore or take advantage of the fishing charters on offer. Get up close and personal at the wildlife park, Reefworld, see a shark show and shell display, go mini golfing, and lazy about the golden beaches.

If you are feeling on the adventurous side, why go try skydiving, parasailing or sea kayaking?Or take a bicycle ride along the 14 kilometre foreshore cycle track!

  • Walk or ride the Esplanade(this is about 18 km).
  • Feed the Lorikeets at the Botanical Gardens.
  • Visit the Regional Art Gallery
  • Visit Australia’s FIRST Immigration and Family Wall of Honour.
  • Visit Hervey Bays “MARKETS” held every Sunday
  • A scenic drive to Toogoom or Burrum Heads.
  • Fish off one of the small jetties along the Esplanade or walk out to the end of the long jetty
  • Feed the Pelicans.
  • Have a BBQ on the foreshore.
  • Go to the Markets at the Urangan Marina Complex, every Friday night from 4pm till 8pm.
