Long Term Accommodation

Tell a Friend

For a longer stay in one location, many options are available. Whether you are studying, completing an internship, working or having an extended one location holiday we have the option for you! When making a decision, while price is a factor, also look at location, is it better to get a cheap flat a long way from work/school with an expensive commute or a more expensive flat within walking distance? If you are not within walking distance, be sure to find somewhere close to public transport!

Rentals

Are a good option for those staying in one location, but also may be a cheaper option for groups who will be staying in a single area for a week or more. The average rental price is $400 a week for a flat and $450 a week for a house. However these prices greatly var depending in size, location and quality. Be sure to notice if utilities are included or not before signing a lease, as that will add to the price.

When choosing a roommate be sure to set rules and expectation before moving in together so as to avoid issues later on. Decide on things such as cleaning, food, personal habits and hygiene before signing your lease. Most landlords expect the rental property to be kept clean at all times and may fine you if it is found in any other condition.

Homestay

This is a fantastic way to fully amerce yourself into Australian culture! If you are here studying English it is also a great way to get in some extra practice. Most schools will provide you with a service to talk to. However if you are an independent traveler or worker interested in this form of accommodation you can contact homestay services in your desired location.
