SYDNEY Darling Harbour

Tell a Friend

What's there?

Darling Harbour is one of Sydney's largest dining, shopping and entertainment areas. King Street Wharf is packed with sleek restaurants, while Cockle Bay Wharf is loaded with alfresco cafés, bars, and restaurants. Combine these activities and attractions with some majestic views of the sunset across the harbour, and you really can't go wrong at this glorious location.

Activities

Take a ride around the harbour. Ferries operate regularly, several Harbour cruises are available such as: Sydney Harbour Comedy Cruise, and Captain Cook Cruises. Or see the harbour as few do on the America's Cup Sailing Experience. You can also charter a yacht or take a speedboat tour of the harbour.

Watch buskers and street entertainers all along the wharf.

Grab a bite to eat at any of the restaurants overlooking the water (ranging from $10 a plate and up). Or check out the area in the afternoon for one of the many great deals on Happy Hour.

Play in the fountains and sidewalks with the kids, watch the street performers, or jump on the People Mover train.

Catch the monorail around Darling Harbour and surroundings for a different view of the area.

Catch the light rail to the Sydney Fish Markets, the second largest seafood market in the world.

Go to the Growers' Market in Pyrmont on the first Saturday of the month.
