The Rocks is the historic area of Sydney, located just next to Circular Quay. Cobble streets and old architecture provide a romantic atmosphere in which you can unconsciously slip back in time. Art galleries, unique shops, cafes, chocolate shops, museums, and wonderful restaurants dot the streets. It is also home to the Rocks Weekend Markets, which are a great place to find inexpensive quality gifts, souvenirs, clothing, jewellery, and more!

Grab a bite to eat at any of the many small, unique restaurants and cafes tucked in cobblestone alleyways, along street fronts, all set in historic buildings filled with history! (Something for every price range.) If you like pancake, why not head to Pancakes on the Rocks, one of the most well visited restaurants in the area.
Make your way through The Rocks Weekend Market, a great way to spend the afternoon, wandering through stalls, munching on a snack from one of the many vendors and listening to live street music.
If you are looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of Sydney without leaving the city, this is the place to do it. Foundation Park, Dawes Point Park, and Walsh Bay offer great views and are a nice escape from the concrete and modernity of the city.
