Busselton is a popular holiday spot for West Australians. You know when the locals vacation there, that its worth a stop! Just under 230km south of Perth, Busselton is one of Australia’s earliest settlements, and today one of WA’s most beautiful beach towns.
The highlight of this town is the Busselton Jetty, the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. The Jetty is complete with anUnderwater Observatory, Jett train , swimming and diving platforms, heritage sculptures, and is a popular spot for fishing.
Busselton is a relaxed town full of beaches, fishing, caves, scenery, bushland, restaurants, shops and is in close proximity to the world-class wineries of Margaret River.
Its 30 km of beaches on the Geographe Bay have created an aquatic playground! You can go swimming, fishing, diving,snorkelling, boating, body boarding and more. The Busselton Beachfront is trademarked, as having shady trees, the perfect spot to enjoy the water with a little relief from the heat and sun! It is a great places to spend the day, complete with lawns, restaurants, toilets, and picnic areas.
Very much a family town, there are many cycle paths, an entertainment park, an archery park, mini golf, one of the few remaining drive-in theatres, jet ski hire, a par 3 Golf Course and much more. The town and surrounding areas are full of art studios and galleries, adding to the small, county town feel.
