Tell a Friend
The Ningaloo Marine Park stretches for 260km starting at Bundegi Beach near Exmouth going all the way to Amherst Point, south of Coral Bay. Making it one of the largest fringing reefs in the world!
The reef lies very close to shore and in some places can even be seen when swimming out from one of the many beaches lining the coast.
The Reef contains over 200 species of Hard corals, approx 50 species of soft corals and an estimated 500 species of fish. The reef is also home to manta rays, sea turtles, humpback whales, andthe whale shark! Ningaloo is one of only two places in the world where the whale shark regularly visits.
There are many snorkel sites and tours that will take you out to enjoy the reef. There are also a few glass bottom boat tours that will allow you to enjoy the reefs beauty without getting your feet wet.
