Tell a FriendAnticipation, Australian Style

Sometimes, I like to bask in the sunlight of anticipation.
I anticipated breaking free of the chains of a desk job, and found myself in London this past year for a cold yet enjoyable winter.
I anticipated coming to Australia, wondering but not even coming close to accurately imagining all of the adventures I’d find myself undertaking.
Now, as my trip is coming to a close, I find myself anticipating the end.
But there is so much left to see. I’ve still yet to see Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation, and starting today I’ll be living on the Great Barrier Reef for a three-day dive course with Pro Dive Cairns.
I’m anticipating excitement. I’ll be getting my Advanced Open Water Certification during my time on the boat, something I never could have or would have anticipated three months ago.
This is a pretty cool time for me. The Best Backpacking Job in Australia has opened up an entire world of (not only) poisonous animals and beautiful landscape that I didn’t even know existed.
I don’t know how they did it, but Global Gossip managed to get a WiFi signal out to the boat I’ll be on, so over the next few days I’ll be catching you up on adventures passed and giving you close to real-time dispatches of my reef adventure.
Thanks for sticking around for this long, and I can’t wait to tell you more!
The Beginning: In Manly Beach, getting my Open Water license with Pro Dive
