The 2010 FIFA World Cup is upon us and Sydney, Australia is filled with exuberance and excitement. As one Aussie put it, "It doesn't matter who's playing. It's the bloody World Cup, mate!" This means that Sydney will be filled with celebration until 12 July when the 2010 World Cup comes to an end.

If you're wondering where you can get in on some of this celebration, you must head down to the 2010 International FIFA Fan Fest at Darling Harbour. The party kicks off at 9pm with Soccer matches being aired live from South Africa. Here you'll find a friendly crowd of Aussies cheering on their favourite teams and booing their least favourite teams.

Admission is free to the 2010 International FIFA Fan Fest, and security is tight. There are security checkpoints at every entrance checking bags before entry, and police on horseback as well as plain clothed officers throughout the crowd.

No worries about seeing the 2010 FIFA World Cup! Sony is a leading sponsor for the 2010 International FIFA Fan Fest and thanks to Sony there are multiple screens so that you can see the game no matter where you are on the harbour.

It is wintertime here in Sydney, so if you're heading out to Darling Harbour to join in the festivities of the 2010 International FIFA Fan Fest, dress warmly. I started out the evening feeling warm enough in my jacket, but as the night went on and the temperatures dropped I was forced to buy a scarf for added warmth.

If you don't want to brave the cold to watch your favorite teams compete for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, you can find the celebration happening in many pubs around the city. Many are staying open 24 hours during game time. So go out with friends, have a couple rounds, and enjoy the FIFA 2010 World Cup!
