Sydney in the Summer: Moonlight Cinema

It's summer in Sydney, which means you should be spending your time outside! Ford Fiesta is sponsoring Australia's Moonlight Cinema, an outdoor movie experience in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, and Adelaide.

I was fortunate enough to get two complimentary tickets to attend the event in Sydney at Centennial Park. Getting there was no problem - just hopped on the 378 Bus from Central station and disembarked at the Woollahra Gate on Oxford Street.

We arrived while it was still light out, and found a nice place to sit where we had a good view of the screen. We ate snacks as others around us enjoyed nice picnics and bottles of wine. Food and drinks were available for purchase, and bean bags could be hired for a small fee (or you can bring beach chairs and blankets and make a cozy little seating area).

Once it got dark we were ready for the movie! While the previews were a little long and boring, it lead up to the give away of 2 tickets to Fiji from V Australia! Sadly we didn't win, but it gives me a reason to go back and try again!

The movie for the night was "Funny People," starring Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen. The movie was great, especially when the Australian husband came on the screen! The rain sprinkled on us for a few seconds, but over all the it was a nice evening watching a movie in the park.

If I was still in Australia, I would go back again. it is a great way to spend a relaxing evening with friends, enjoying one of Sydney's several parks. Have you seen a movie at the Moonlight Cinema?
